I have a soft spot for Laura Geller’s Blush-n-Brighten (I won’t kid myself, I have a soft spot for baked blushes in general). Who can resist the gorgeous medleys of colour? This palette contains four mini-sized blushes and a mini brush. The blushes are:
Sugar-Free Raspberry: bright medium pink (matte)
Pink Grapefruit: rosy shimmer
Golden Apricot: gold peach shimmer
Sunswept: warm tan shimmer
The blushes are beautifully pigmented, and I appreciate the addition of a matte baked blush. The brush is mostly pointless – the pigment in these blushes requires a bigger, fluffier brush to apply with. The palette is made of thick cardboard and has a mirror in the lid.
This is a nice introduction to Laura Geller blushes, and certainly more affordable than diving in with a full-sized one. As you can see, these blushes can become a but of a shimmer explosion. I prefer to layer them over a matte or satin blush, as a blush/highlighter effect. Here are the blushes heavily swatched beside each other, for shade comparison:
