Avon Big Color Eye Pencils (Review, Swatches)

Avon Big Colour

I appreciate your effort, Avon, but these are mostly a miss for me.

Where to Buy:  Avon
Price:  $5.99 (originally $9.99)
Quantity:
  1.6 grams

Avon’s Big Color eye pencils are designed to be easy, pigmented bases or lid colours.  They’re incredibly creamy and pigmented, though they would need to be sheered out to be worn on the lid by themselves.  I need to set these with a powder eyeshadow in order for them to be truly creaseless, but they certainly make nice lash line colours.  Here are the ones I have:

Slate (B114):  gray brown
Celadon (B501):
shamrock green
Eggplant (B703):
deep purple
Vanilla (B02):
warm cream
Blue Smoke (B602):
  deep midnight blue

The downsides: they need to be sharpened.  Why does any company make a traditional pencil anymore when they waste so much product?  The second downside is the price.  I’m not willing to pay six dollars for a lash line colour, much less ten dollars.

Can you spot the tail of my helpful assistant?
